Welcome to Sightgeist, a podcast that looks at the great movies of yesterday and how they hold up today! In this introductory episode, co-hosts Jimmy and Joe talk a bit about themselves and the show's format, as well as a bit about why they wanted to create Sightgeist in the first place.

Why do we remember some movies and not others? What does it take for a film's legacy to last beyond a few years? Why do the Oscars get it wrong so often? Each month, Jimmy and Joe will pick a movie from ten years ago and consider its legacy in today's film landscape and whether or not it holds up. So please--join two dummies as they discuss the relevance of movies you may or may not have forgotten about.
